King's dream and mine

Was just watching ABC's 40th aniversary special on Martin Luther King Jr. and the part he played in the civil rights movement. I had never heard the entire speech before, so it was an awe inspiring experience. I forgot that person speaking was speaking for a particular race, and indeed felt that he was spoke for the entire human race. You can catch an archival news reel of the speech here.

It's people like King that inspire me in my life, to do something with it. Because I have a dream too, a dream similarly rooted in the American dream. The dream to live in this great land freely, without being judged on the basis of my color or my religion, without being looked upon with suspicion, without being stereotyped, and to built a tomorrow where nothing like what is happening today in this volatile world will ever happen. And I will, with God's will.

What a beautiful post! Dr. King's words are as true and as relevant today as they were 40 years ago. May God guide us always to make the world a better place.
