Rocking on in MullahLand

My roommate's interest in heavy metal and rock has kinda put me back into the thing to. Although I don't have time to research bands... and the coolest band I've been told about is Metallica... although there are so many other bands I love listening to, mostly punk rock, rock, pop, alt. rock, or even Christian rock... but that's all on a per song basis. No favs among rock bands or liking for hiphop here.

For some time now, I was hearing alot about some Pakistani band called Entity Paradigm that is supposed to be the coolest thing going on in that country. The band comes in tradition of South Asia's greatest rock band ever, Junoon. Well, I checked out EP's site, and it's pretty hip alright. But for some reason I can't find much of their songs on P2P nets. So either they're really stringent about their copyrights, or their not as popular yet as I thought them to be. If you want, try this sample of their track Kahan Hai Tu. As my roommate would put it, "good shit!". And while we're on the subject, try the up and coming band Jal also... just for the sake of the lame fact that I once personally knew their lead vocalist. No doubt I always thought he sucked ass. He still does. :D

Not that this makes me any more Patriotic towards Pakistan, but I truely think the country's rockers have a good future. No doubt they're kicking Indian rocker's ass for sure. Not just 'cause of the bands, but also because of highly enthusiastic Pakistani rock fans who have a good sense of web design too (they might have taken inspirations from ALA in their designs though!). Anyway, I wish 'em good luck in the land where hate-filled mullahs roam side by side with music lovers, hidden dance clubs, secret sizzling fashion shows and alot more than most people would never imagine happening in towelhead territory.

Ep haven't started to grow yet but they show some talent. As far as Pakistani rock fans are concerned they sure are going to get much of a treat in the coming years with many underground bands coming overboard as pakistan has now more than one music channels on the TV.

Well, that's cool. One of my friends was telling me about dedicated music channels from Pakistani too. That's really good news. :)

Haydur, where are you located? If you are in U.S. then you can order the EP CD online through www.edukaan.com - or if you don't want to spend the dough just email me your address and I will burn you a cd. I do recommend buying the CD though because the liner notes are half the fun :)

Oh well, that's personal opinion. But you put it in much simpler terms than I did. It's not like I hated him or liked him, I just knew him as another kid in school with whom you sometimes might share a random conversation but didn't really knew much about.

And a guy thinking of another guy to be "an asshole" is kinda like an involuntary reaction, it's starts long before puberty.

What explanation do you have?

salam alaikum ppl, nice to read all yo ppl's comments, i didnt liked the jal band until its split. i heard the songs n some of them were good, n now i also know(thanx to you) that atif's the di*K, n goher is the main guy. and the new song by goher n the new singer , lamhay, is a good one. one thing i still dont know to whom the songs belong atif or goher, whether atif wrote them or goher, its because both of them ( atif n goher) r now coming up with the same songs. :p

EP..is an asset to the world of lyrics and compositions in general and a gem to pakistani music in particular, they have added their unique style and new dimensions to music .....thumbs up to this real, big-time talanted band...they are the stuff revolutions are made off!!!

Hey everyone.....i am a bit confused of who stole whose songs....was it Atif or Goher?.......anyways.....Atif is a damn good singer, he has an amazing voice, and inshAllah he will go far in his music career......the Jal band is good too.....both of them having the same songs....have managed to do something different with the music......will the new vocalist is good as well (Farhan?....am i right?).....I love the Aadat and Bheegi version of Atif's..... :D :D... :question:..... :).... :D
