I wish the following was being said for the last time... but it's not, so here goes nothing:
The critics are stupid jerkoffs who don't know shit.Yes yes, I am just coming back from theatre after watching "The Matrix Revolutions". And as Cartman says, "who wants to fucking touch me?". Yep, it was that good. I know the critics would have had atleast this right, that Matrix fans like me would like it alot. But hey, I didn't see or hear a single person coming out of a Matrix show and saying that "it's wasn't good", or even "it wasn't that good". And since it's so hard to keep me focused when I am contemplating my friendship - the case of the day - you can easily bet on how much this movie keeps one interested.
The movie's main focus is of course the culminating battle between humans and machines, who are not all set to destroy zion and all of free humanity. The mechanical battle sequences will surely pose a challenge to the middle earth fx of LOTR for the Visual Effects oscar. And as much as I love the Tolkien trilogy, I hope the Matrix sequels win more. Fight choreography is once again breathless. Anyway, while Morpheus & Niobe try to help zionites defeat the machines at home, Neo and Trinity choose to go to the source of it all, the machine city. Neo doesn't know why he's going there, but by the time you're done watching it, you'd know for yourself. And yeah, just keep a close ear on what the Oracle has to say, because she'll tell you what you want to hear... hehe. But I did miss the spoon boy, I guess his part got cut, too bad for him. Also, if you don't get all your questions answered the first time, wait to see again, most of the answers are there, hidden. But remember, some questions are never meant to be answered, the answers are therefore "yours to choose."
So don't worry, it's a great ending to the trilogy. Critics can go to hell.
Posted in Movies Etc. on November 6, 2003 12:19 AMI loved it! I went out of the cinema and thought "what a great way to end this". Missing class was way worth it! ;)
Posted by: Ivette01 at November 6, 2003 11:09 AMAs you saw in my review, I greatly enjoyed the movie and was generally satisfied with it.. But.. I still feel too many questions raised in Reloaded either were not answered or not answered in a satisfactory manner... still a very fun ride

Posted by: Ivette01 at November 6, 2003 11:17 AMHiya. Glad to see someone else out there with the same opinion; my roommate came home with me after watching it and tried to pick apart everything, saying that all the holes left unclosed were sloppy writing!
And it's interesting to be pinged by someone I don't know. I'm not even sure what the trackback pings are. ^-^ I don't happen to know you through Morgan, do I?
Posted by: cloud at November 6, 2003 7:22 PM^ Nope. I just know you through the mutual likeness for the Matrix. Anyway, one really needs to see these movies more than once to figure out everything.
Posted by: Haydur at November 6, 2003 10:11 PMThanks for the ping also! I liked the movie and will probably see it again. Who cares if there are unanswered questions or holes in the plot... it is a movie, not real-life. Friends that I went with were on the edge of their seats during the attack on Zion. It was fun, like a roller coaster is fun...
