The Miracles of Man

Coming to a pet store near you on January 5th... please welcome, GloFish™, world's first genetically engineered pet. This new GEed zebra fish has been given the fluorescent gene from a sea coral, changing it's color from silver and black to bright red, which glows under the dark. The fish will cost around $5 each, while regular zebra fish are a buck a pop.

Already stupid scared people are trying to stop the sale of the fish. What they actually don't realize is that this fish cannot survive anywhere expect for tropical waters even if it does get accidentally released into the water supplies, which is their main concern. Also, it has already been cleared from all regulations by the FDA, the EPA, the Department of Agriculture and the Fish and Wildlife Service.

This is of course seems like another example of man putting all his knowledge and skills to stupid ornamental uses... Go humans! But I'm not at all against genetical engineering, because one day it's going to rid this planet of most of worries today like health, hunger, & the environment. Example??? even this glow-in-the-dark fish was originally developed at the National University of Singapore to be used as a pollutant testing system. The institute is also working on yellow and green fluorescent zebra fish.
