Happy Turkey Day

Yep, it's that day again... when we kill millions of turkeys and shove their meat down our throats. No no, I am not trying to be a sissy vegetarian type... I am being lets say, a little realistic. Even the President pardoned Stars, the national turkey, which although didn't really mean much to his cousin in Sonoma, CA, who still seemed pretty pissed about the whole deal. :D

Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving... and since I normally have all-day classes on Thurdays, it's just great to have a day all to yourself. Except for the little chore of making a DVD out of miniDV tapes for a friend who recently got engaged, it was indeed all to myself. Alas, if only I have known it takes a cool 4 hours to convert and burn a damn DVD movie. Actually, that was more than enough time for me to go out and do some techy shopping, but those them office supply stores had to be closed all day. Those assholes could have stayed open until 4, I mean, why do you wanna take a whole day off... just so that you can prepare yourself for pounds of white meat? Argh!

It was also nice to see that Eid and Thanksgiving were only a day apart this time around. Some people actually might have found that to be better, since you can greet back in the persons choice of celebrations. But, atleast one person that I greeted didn't seem to give a damn about the thing. All I'd say about that is that freedom of choice is a great thing. Great, eh?

The talk was actually about turkeys... :D

Anyway, since you brought up the subject, see this [http://www.haydur.com/life/past/000085.html] and this [http://www.haydur.com/life/past/000086.html].

Have a nice day :)
