MyDoom (Novarg) been dubbed the most prolific and one of the costliest viruses. It's technically a worm though. Still, it's main purpose is the same, to cause friggin' cause. Even I'm getting one infected message every 30 minutes or less (another Norton AV warning just popped up).
Two different versions of the worm, A & B, are supposed to launch a DoS attacked on SCO and Microsoft next week. I just can't believe lamers can get so jealous of success. SCO I believe isn't doing anything ethically, financial, or legally wrong. It's just protecting it's interests, like anyone would. That's basically what I learnt in my Business Law class today, which is pretty interesting already. Anyway, coming back to the topic of attacking a competiting product that you don't like... if Linux has been all that successful in recent times, why the frustation show of creating worms to attack MS and SCO? Now that's a question anyone from the pengiun community should have an answer to. Should, but they probably don't. Of course I like and use Linux and open source environments for their versatile capabilities and I love to see those sparkling Mac icons, but still they can't beat Windows in usability and ease of it. OS usage stats are a proof of my point, and that's all these dumbos have to uderstand.
But alas, this worm was probably written by a Machead or a script kiddie behind a Cyrix or Pentium II 33MHz Linux box. His main argument to all this would be... "look what Linux is capable of doing with such low resources? Can you run Windows XP smoothly on the same hardware?". The next words would probably come out of his mom's mouth telling him to come down for supper. May she should tell on her sun, claim the reward on his head and move to Florida.
Just my humble opinion.
