Well, I found out about this 2 days ago. Spider, one of the handful of IT magazines in Pakistan listed my blog as among the top 5 from that country.
What really suprised me is how they listed me as one of the top five when all I have here right now is a slightly modified default template of Movabletype and the fact that I am mostly listed under NY at blog directories. But then again they only gave me a measly overall score of 2.5. KO, the top rated blog in that article, scored a healthy 4. I thought Adnan should have been given the top spot.
Anyway, what kinda ticked me off was how the editor intrepreted my comments about ver. 3 taking me two years to make, when I had clearly noted that I am just putting up a preview blog-only version of my site, and not the 'actual' planned site itself. I'm only making this point because I feel 2.5 isn't a good score at all. I guess I'll contact them when I finish the site, which is hopefully going to come real soon, and ask them what they would give me then.
Online version of the "Top 5" article can be found here.
Posted in Tech Stuff on February 5, 2004 2:56 PMhey come on man! the fact they actually included you in the top5 is big because spider is VERY VERY finicky when it comes to their top5 lists....your site finished 3rd but in terms of the "sense of drama" about your life; it'd probably be MUCH higher...lolz
