WS lists a few weird offers web designers have gotten over the years in return for their work. For example, this guy was offered "services" by the wife in a couple who wanted to have their own adult site. Unfortunately she wasn't worth the job. Poor guy.

I myself have been offered sums like 200 bucks to do complete fetch, chop and show complicated mathematical calculations for this mortgage buyer who also wanted be to build the entire site from ground up. Yeah right jackass!

I believe money doesn't matter as much to me as the joy of seeing my work appreciated. If only I had the friggin' time. Damn. Still, it's übercrazy to actually get rewarded for something that you do as a volunteer work. Like the $25 gift certficate I got for doing a small part of my school's website. Übercool dude!
