It's so friggin' hard to decide. Get this...
Until around 2 'oclock this afternoon I had the [correct] impression that I am not getting into a top school 'cause of the high costs. But then, the constant transfer talks with friends on campus made me think, and I got all hopeful about going to the likes of NYU or Columbia. I had all but forgotten the fact that most of these schools, like Stanford and MIT, which I must say are my very first choice, require one to be a friggin' Math genius to get in. I mean what the fuck? I need a year's worth of advance Calculus and Physics and stuff to get accepted. Hell no. I have always hated studies that require you to memorize formulae, and then decrypt poorly written problems and figure out how to apply the formula and get a damn answer out of the whole thing. Yeah, I'm dumb. And that's precisely why I am doing Computer Information Systems and not Computer Engineering.
Still, I plan to apply to atleast Columbia, just for the heck of it. Or may be even Cornell. After all, the later is the Ivy League school that's scientifically judged to be my first choice. Here's what the quiz says...
Cornell
If only the least impressive Ivy didn't also have to be the hardest. You know those Harvard kids are laughing at you as they sip gin and tonics in their finals club and pull off easy A's. There are always the gorges though. And hopping Ithaca. Well, yeah, you have the gorges.
Try it yourself: Which Ivy League University is right for YOU?
So there you have it. Yet another bitching session about the prospects and headaches of transferring out of a state junior college.
