Memory Flashes

Now when I'm looking into getting a new digital camera for my own personal use, I can't believe how much things have changed since I got my very first - and still in use - Canon A40. Memory prices have plummeted, even in the recent few days since SanDisk announced 8GB CF cards, to about $75 for a 1GB CF card. That's pretty darn cheap, considering just last spring I bought a 128MB CF card for $40!

Coming back to my digicam... there are so many brands and so many models that I can never even compare 'em all. For now I'm thinking about the Canon S60, since it has excellent wide angle, a metal body and 5 million active pixels. Hopefully it'd have a decision by a week's end.

For now, see this article about how Sandisk is becoming the Kodak of the 21st century.
