Hide & Seek: A Non-viewer's Review

Usually when I blog in movie reviews, it's because I've actually seen the movie. But this time, highly unfortunately, I'm doing a review of a movie I haven't actually seen. Nor do I plan to in the near future.

You see, movies like the Sixth Sense, The Scream Trilogy, The Village, or ummm... Kiss the Girls are entirely based on that once twist in the end. And if you had known that fact earlier, you wouldn't have seen the movie altogether.

That's what happened to me. Some girl from Grace's church told her who Charlie really is in "Hide & Seek". And that was it. No point for her to see the movie now. All that excitement gone. Fuck. And hey, when you know you can't see movie that you've really been wanting to watch for months, what's the point in keeping your boyfriend out of the scene. So she told me. And, just like anyone with any sense won't wanna see "The Village" if they knew that the village people were really living in an fenced wildlife santuary in present times, I didn't wanna see Hide & Seek anymore. So that was how our sunday evening went... nowhere.

Really what's happening here is that the M. Night Shayamalansque stories are proving so good with audiences that more and more movies are coming out based on the same formula. But it's not really a good thing for word-of-mouth marketing, since there are so many people out there with undiagnosed blabbermouth disorders.

Anyway, I can't take the memory out of my head now. It really pisses me off though. A lot. Now I could ruin it for everyone else too, all I have to do is a four word sentence in here. And that's it, you won't wanna go see "Hide & Seek". But I'll be nice, because I want you guys to enjoy what I couldn't. Oh yeah, and if you are wondering where the damn review is, here goes: great movie!

So go on... without me... enjoy yourself. :(
