Saw the S.A.G. Awards on sunday. Apparently, if you are new and you have morphed the basic theme of "Sex and the City" into a bunch of suburban housewives, then you are definitely worthy of a bunch of S.A.G. awards. That really pissed me off, how could they deny "Everybody Loves Raymond" and S&tC in that ignorant way? Just because they've been around for a few years and have won in the past, doesn't really disqualify them against some stupid ABC show aptly named "Desperate Housewives" (although they do have "Lost").
Then, Howard Stern, my beloved defender of the First Amendment talked about the Superbowl yesterday, and how the ads were so lame this year. Btw, I didn't watch the Superbowl. And I don't think that not doing that has an affect on how patriotic I am about the United States. I'm just not a football person. Anyway, coming back to the commercials, it seems that FCC fever is getting pretty serious. With no farting horses this year, I have no regret that I missed something I shouldn't have, except for may be the ads for Paramount's "Sahara" and "War of the Worlds". But I have both of 'em online anyway.
