This was the first release of 2005 that I was officially awaiting. A major reason of this is that I've been shit of scared of "The Ring" from the day that I saw it in the theaters, and even afterwards it took a year for me to come back to watching it on DVD.

Anyway, I went with Grace to watch it on the first day of release. Felt like a jackass being the first one in line for the 10:30 show, but the feeling vanished when we were joined by a group of over 30 highschool kids. The movie started with another scary little sequence. But like all movies with a secret (i.e. Neo in the Matrix) it's really not the same as the original. Still the movie deliver quite a few jolts, chills, shocks and screams. The deers did look a bit fake though. Final verdict for the horror genre fans: you have to see it.
