My last entry on Apple came a bit too early to mention DVD Jon's new accomplishment, PyMusique. It's a new iTunes client allowing you to access the music store from any OS, including Linux. It must've been fun for it's users for a couple of days that it worked, because when yesterday Apple "patched" it's service. But the story didn't end there...
Well, guess what? The PyMusique team did it again. They reworked their code to accommodate Apple's changes and published it around 6 p.m. Mind you that the client doesn't let you steal music, you pay for your songs (see this transcript of a chat session with one of the developers). The only difference is that PyMusique downloaded songs can be copied to any mp3 player, not just the dreaded iPod. Check out this lengthy slashdot discussion on the topic.
More Power to the Legal-Music-Downloading People!
