Due to the many GUI advances in the next version of Microsoft Windows (codename Longhorn), it is being reportedly named "Windows Vista". Vista means "the visual percept of a region".

The domain (WindowsVista.com) was registered back in March and has been whois protected by the Registrar, Register.com. Expect Windows Vista Beta 1 to be available on BitTorrent next week.

Oh, and it does sounds a bit weird.
