Harry Potter and the Goblet of 10:30

That's what the LED scroll read outside the theater. Too bad LOEWS Theaters can't update their legacy system to support long titles. But I could care less about that, I was more worried about Grace liking the movie or not. May be she's over-expects what she'll get from these movies. I, on the other hand, just love the escapism movies provide us. Even the dumbess movies has a few good cinematic events. May be it's the screen size-ratio that's so pleasing to the human eyes that have been placed far apart to give us a natual "wide screen" vision. Anyway, back to the movie...

This was perhaps the most interesting and well-paced Harry Potter movie yet. The screenplay was pretty tight and a good amount of material, I am being told, was left out from the 700+ page book. That I thing is the good thing about this movie. The F/X were once again on par with LOTR. Although I was dissappointed with how the Potter-Chang affair was so limited (Damn the kid in me!).

I was also thrilled to see the "Lady in the Water" preview... it's nice to see new and unknown projects on the big screen, visiting the Quicktime Movie Trailers page so often doesn't leave much room for unseen previews in the theater. But after the disappointment of The Village, I have promised myself now to follow this Shayamalan project with that much interest.

Getting back to Grace, she has now taken the rights to selecting which movies to watch. Hopefully it's not a 'scary movie' where she misses half the scenes with her hands on her eyes. Poor girl.
