Well, I wasn't really impressed with "Freedom Fries", but I am all for America being a melting pot, and not a tossed salad bowl. So when I heard that Geno's, the famous philly cheese steak place in Philly (of course) put a sign in their window that guest should order in English, I strongly support their cause.
I mean is that really much to ask? English is a global language that is, if not understood, recognized everywhere in the world. We are not talking about forcing people to make English their primary language because I do understand that 37 million Americans do not speak English at home. But for a society to function, their has to be one (or more) languages that everyone can agree on and speak. For America, that's English.
